Preparation is key
by Addison K. Witt
Feb 28, 2010
I recall a client once saying during every audition..."I have to assume
that I'm going to book the job." This person didn't stop there.

Everything in that person's life was planned out to accept the opportunity in front of them. This person never let themselves second guest, or focus on a job that they didn't book. Instead, the response was, "what could I do differently the next time?" All of my top clients embody this attitude.

There was never language or actions used to talk themselves out of the
job. You know what I mean, the "what if this obstacle happens? What will I
do then?" You know those reasons that are said and heard that support
loosing the job or the opportunity? The preparation is key. The acceptance is genuine belief that you are doing what you are meant to be doing right now.

What I love about the root of this concept is that preparation is about
the acceptance. Acceptance and belief are integral. Belief creates
reality. Thoughts lead to words, and words lead to material
manifestation.

The other note: understanding, and offering a "clear intention" that
supports your objective. What is your intention? As I go through my weekly conversations I am forced to listen to people's intentions, particularly where business relationships exist. We are all moving toward our goals.

Yet many times those goals are in-congruent with underlying intentions.
And yet, we are all getting what we are asking for. Based on our
intentions.

I am again reminded of a very early relationship with an actor who also
had a very clear intention when it came to acting.

"I want to work, and own my own TV series and films." The intention went
further..."I want to create and duplicate wealth." This person has had 5
TV series and numerous films in 8 years.

Today I was clearly looking at my intention as it relates to the clients I represent. This motivated me to reach out to you and ask you to do the same with your underlying intentions as they relate to me and the company you are represented by. Go further and look at the relationship with the agents that represent you. Your first thought tells you if we are in to win it, or are we hoping for the best.

Some people say "I just want to do the work, and I don't care about the
money." I say caring is important.

Others say "I want to be well-known and I believe more money will come."

Someone said yesterday, "I just want to share my heart. I don't want to
focus on the money."

I say this to all good hearts, good intentions, fame seekers, and Let's
just see what will happen, people. You are brilliant just as you are.
Don't worry that you want do what is right.

Everyone has their opinion and reasons for being in "Hollywood." My belief is that the business of Hollywood is largely about creating projects to make money. To create and duplicate wealth. A clear intention. We are artists and we will do what artists do because its who we are. But also be clear on creating and duplicating wealth in your Hollywood business.

My intention for you is to help you achieve your hearts desire, your goals to work, and to create and duplicate wealth and abundance.

You have the ability to create and duplicate wealth.

Expectation without preparation doesn't serve you well.

Final note: As I wrote out my thoughts I was contacted by an agent that
wants to see 3 of my clients that don't have agents.

Clear intentions...
