WEM, Inc., was founded by actor and producer, Addison Witt in 2001. In 1998 Addison Witt was looking for acting work, while doubling as a Hollywood agent. Addison believed he found the perfect job playing a cop in a new TV pilot called "Crash." In a surprise twist, the daughter of famed OJ Simpson loss control of her automobile, and crashed through Witt's living room window while Addison was watching a movie called, Colors, about the LA CRASH police unit. The immediate and widespread media exposure thrust Addison Witt into a "True Hollywood Story." At that time, the feeling was that Addison would have to choose between a career as an actor, or represent actors. Two years after the incident, Witt Management was formed, and representing actors became a permanent division.
